BACKGROUND: His wiki is kind of small so have a written background if size matters. Or imagine a modern day, biblically inspired Game of Thrones, complete with sad but spiteful closeted prince whose tears are probably made of vodka.

INCENTIVE: To escape the personal prison and hell that his father arranged for him at the end of the series. Jack has been stripped of everything at this point, humiliated and denied to the point where he was ready for death. Eudio offers him the best alternative that he could hope for.

FIT: If Eudio can show Jack anything that he hasn't seen before, he'll be surprised. The Party Prince of Gilboa has had no shortage of sexual experiences, and even suggests that he has a room in his apartment for the really freaky stuff. Genuine intimacy and love come much harder for him, in no small part because he was repeatedly told that he couldn't be both gay and the king. But when the lights go out and he has the chance, Jack does display a rare affection, holding his lover's hand and cuddling up with him later. While it's possible that there could be some lingering hang-ups regarding his own sexuality, Jack was able to finally admit that he loved Joseph. As far as the "business" side of things, Jack understands the "I scratch your back, you scratch mine" nature of Eudio. Cuddling would be one of the nicer things that he's one for it.

CONSENT: While showing himself capable of many sleazy things, lying and violence included, violating consent is not one of them. If anything, he's been made hyper aware of it by his mother, the queen, as accusations of that nature would tarnish the royal image and fast. In one scene, Jack even goes so far as to have a young woman who he's brought home for the night videotaped holding up her ID to prove that she's of age and stating that she's there of her own free will. At that point that he would be arriving in Eudio, Jack's own consent is being disregarded, as he's essentially locked in a room for the purpose of making a new heir. It's enough to make him know what that feels like, so Jack wouldn't violate the consent of another.
