[Jack likes this in a different but wholly unfamiliar way, the way that makes him smile and feel like an idiot against his will.]
Have you been drinking? I didn't taste wine on your tongue.
no subject
[ He wiggles his eyebrows at him -- it's Christmas, they can be idiots together. ]
no subject
I'm feeling magnanimous. So I'll give you today, whatever you want. But tomorrow Yule is over.
[As if he suddenly turns into ice again.</small.]
no subject
[ Johnny doesn't get it when Jack gets into one of these moods, like he's bracing himself to lose this -- whatever this is.
He licks his lips absently as they walk on, just themselves on this road. Sometimes, he decides, Jack needs to be jostled out of this habit, to know that there's really no time limit on what they have. ] Are you going somewhere?
no subject
Absolutely not. [He takes the question a little more seriously than Johnny probably meant it too.] I like where I am.
[Jack looks over at him before arching a brow.]
What about you? Going back to your old life?
no subject
Jack, this is my life. [ Johnny takes things as they come, he doesn't slip into escape mode the way Jack does; the celebrations and the season doesn't mean he changes, or becomes someone else when it's over. Johnny Storm does what he likes when he likes. ] What are you talking about?
no subject
Jack pauses and turns to face him.]
I'm asking you the same questions you asked me. What happens after Yule? Are you going somewhere?
no subject
At least, at first. Johnny's not the committing type, not really. But he likes the time they have together. He likes the birthdays. He likes the great sex, and doesn't think about how he'd never so much as looked at someone else in weeks.
But he doesn't want to put a name to this. He doesn't know what it is. ]
I'm not going anywhere. We can just keep having fun, right?
no subject
He sighs, but he smiles and holds out his hand again. They're just having fun.]
Of course. What else would we do?
no subject
[ Because Johnny knows that look -- he knows there's something Jack isn't telling him, and he's perceptive enough to pick up on it. He takes his hand, however, and presses a kiss to the back of it. ]
We could make out in the pool, for one.
no subject
[It's familiar and easy, and Jack doesn't have to figure out anything that he doesn't already know either. He even reasons that it's probably for the best; as great as the sex is, it's been slightly one-sided. Jack has a taste for the giving and the receiving.]
If this pool is cold, you'd better be prepared to warm it up - in more ways than just by making out.
[Because he could anticipate Johnny's next line to a statement like that.]
no subject
He sets the basket down when they reach, taking in the sights and the glimpses of creatures flitting here and there. ]
Don't worry, I'll keep you nice and warm. [ He winks, before he tugs him over by his coat in a slow, lingering kiss. Already his skin is heating up, enough to be felt but not enough to burn. ] Clothes off. The last thing you'll be thinking of is the cold.
no subject
[He breaks the kiss to take it all in. Something feels peaceful here. Good. And Jack feels somehow soothed. He looks back at Johnny, smirking a little at his words, words that he knows he'll make good on. Whenever he's with Johnny he thinks of little else.]
You first. I want to enjoy the view.
no subject
[ Johnny says, because Jack isn't the only one who's paying attention. He undoes his cloak, then pulls his shirt over his head, grinning at Jack. He takes his time about it, showing off to him and putting himself on display.
His trousers are next to go -- yes, he went commando, and before long, he's proudly naked before Jack. ]
Your turn, now.
no subject
He takes his time, folding his coat after he removes it, finding a safe place to lay it. Jack keeps his eyes on Johnny's with every article of clothing that he removes. He knows his body by now, pale and beautiful, strong and just a little bit otherworldly. Jack looks more and more like he belongs here.]
Shouldn't you be warming up the water?
no subject
And if this is a flash of hunger and admiration, desire coiled in the pit of his stomach and a yearning that goes beyond just sex -- well, that's the way it is.
He steps into the water delicately, his body heating up the water slowly but surely, raising it to comfortable levels. He holds his hand out to him, smile widening. Jack doesn't look like he belongs here -- he looks like he belongs in a fairytale, an otherworldly, exquisite creature that only dwells in his most private fantasies.
He holds his hand out to him. ]
C'mere. Let me pamper you.
no subject
I thought you were the spoiled type.
[Maybe when he came here. Hell, they both were. But circumstances have taught Jack a little bit more about the give and take. Right now the only thing that he takes is Johnny's hand as he steps into the water.]
It's freezing, you know.
[Nonchalantly. Jack really doesn't mind the cold as much as some, and he knows it'll warm quickly.]
no subject
[ Johnny asks lazily when Jack steps inside, making sure to pull him to his chest to get him warmed up before anything else. Jack is right: Johnny is not a patient man -- even if his many months in the Drabwurld had seen to smoothen out the jagged edges. Johnny is fire and passion both, bold and aggressive; he will never be who Joseph was.
But perhaps one thing would be largely the same: when Johnny Storm falls in love, he'll be done for.
The water is invigorating, and he basks in the pleasure of that and having Jack in his arms as he leans down to steal another kiss from that plush, full mouth. ]
Am I getting you nice and hot yet? [ He's smirking, yay for double entendres. ]
no subject
He rolls his eyes at Johnny, but he smirks in spite of himself. Jack slides his arms loosely around his waist.]
Mmm, warmer by the second.
no subject
Johnny's guiding him deeper into the water until it reaches their chests, and the effects of it is unmistakable. It's soothing, refreshing, and he traces idle little patterns up Jack's spine, keeping the water nice and warm in contrast to the cold weather around them. ]
It's your first time doing this too, isn't it?
